General Info:
Used with other drugs to control various types of convulsions and seizures of epilepsy. Works with other medications to control seizures and severe seizure disorders such as Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS) in children aged 2 to 16 years.
Topiramate is used to control seizures. The exact way that it works is unknown. However, it is believed that topiramate alters the chemical impulses in the brain that cause seizures.
