General Info:
Dipyridamole (Persantine) stops platelets (substances in your blood necessary for blood clotting) from sticking together or attaching to prosthetic heart valve surfaces. Dipyridamole (Persantine) is used to prevent the formation of blood clots following heart valve replacement surgery. Dipyridamole (Persantine) is also used with aspirin to reduce the risk of death after a heart attack and to prevent another heart attack.
Use caution when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities. Dipyridamole (Persantine) may cause dizziness. If you experience dizziness, avoid these activities.
Dipyridamole (Persantine) should be used cautiously if you have abnormally low blood pressure.
