Calciferol (Alfa Calcidol) is used to treat vitamin D deficiency, a bone disorder called vitamin-D resistant rickets (osteomalacia), hypoparathyroidism (decreased functioning of the parathyroid glands), and an electrolyte imbalance (hypophosphatemia) often caused by disease, poor nutrition, or inherited conditions.
